The trigger is state money arriving faster than the operators can absorb it. The window is the 12-24 months while ESA programs are new enough that the rules are confusing and no vendor has claimed the category.

DreamClass is $99/mo for up to 100 students, Teach 'n Go is EUR 69/mo for up to 100 live students, Transparent Classroom is $1.50 per child per month (all checked 2026-08-13). Every one of them sells scheduling, gradebook, attendance and a parent portal — the work a microschool leader spends the least time on. None of them sell the ESA reimbursement claim, the state registration packet, the attendance affidavit, or the annual compliance calendar, which is where the 93 hours go. Above them, the enterprise SIS vendors need a few hundred students before the deal is worth quoting, so the median 20-student school is structurally invisible to their sales motion. The gap is a per-school-priced ops copilot: one operator, one state, every deadline and every claim handled, with the roster and attendance data it already needs to file them.

Week 1-2: pick ONE state (Texas — biggest new cohort, clearest waitlist) and build its rule library by hand: every form, field, deadline and claim window. Ship roster + attendance + a dated compliance calendar. Week 3: publish the free Texas ESA compliance checklist as the lead magnet and post it in microschool operator Facebook groups and r/homeschool. Week 4-8: ESA claim generation from attendance, then 20 founder calls with Texas operators — every question they ask is a missing rule in the library. Month 3: add Arizona and Florida, and start ranking on 'how to start a microschool in <state>' long-tails, which autocomplete shows is how these founders actually search.
