Nobody needs another answer to 'which software for music production'. Google Trends shows US searches for that phrase down 75% across the last twelve months: the DAW question is settled (FL Studio, Ableton, Logic, GarageBand). The question that is not settled is 'how do I finish this track'. In EDMProd's survey of 1,097 producers, the #1 struggle, volunteered unprompted by 19%, was 'I don't know where to start', and 26.5% named a beginner-level problem. The AI tools that do exist chase the mix: MixingGPT sells an in-DAW mixing copilot from $9 to $49/mo. Splice sells sounds. Courses sell 40 hours of video. None of them sits next to a bedroom producer at 11pm with an 8-bar loop and says: here is the next step, do this in the next 20 minutes. Bounce is that AI music production coach: it reads the project (tracks, arrangement length, what is missing), sets one concrete next step, and checks in until the track is exported.
Why now
Two things changed. First, producers already accept an AI inside their session: MixingGPT ships as a VST3/AU/AAX plugin with paid tiers at $9, $19 and $49/mo. Second, the DAW market stopped being the question: generic 'software for music production' searches fell 75% over twelve months while autocomplete now fills in 'ai music production assistant' and 'how to use ai for music production'. The tools follow the old question (better sound). The new buyer is a beginner with a free or cheap DAW, a folder of unfinished loops and no teacher. A coach that turns a loop into an exported track is a different product from a mixing copilot, and the lane is empty.
Market gap
Every paid tool for bedroom producers sells sound or knowledge: DAWs, sample libraries (Splice Creator at $19.99/mo), mixing copilots (MixingGPT $9–$49/mo) and long video courses. None sells completion. A beginner's real bottleneck, per the EDMProd survey, is not knowing what to do next, and that is a coaching problem, not a plugin problem. The gap is a cheap AI coach that reads the project, names the next step, and holds the producer accountable until the track is exported. It complements the DAW and Splice instead of fighting them.

$12/mo sits between MixingGPT's $9 Starter and Splice Creator's $19.99, in the impulse zone for hobbyists. It sells an outcome (a finished track), so it does not compete on feature count with either. The $24 Pro tier captures producers who start releasing.
Execution plan
Week 1-2: ship a web app where the producer uploads a DAW screenshot or project file; an LLM with a genre arrangement playbook returns one 20-minute task; Stripe at $12/mo. Week 3: launch the free 30-day 'Finish One Track' challenge on r/WeAreTheMusicMakers and r/edmproduction, plus producer Discords. Week 4-8: add streaks, nightly check-in emails, FL Studio and Ableton project parsing. Month 3: short-form videos showing 'loop to finished track in 30 days' stories; SEO pages on 'how to finish a track' and 'ai music production assistant'.

Jay, 24, makes beats in FL Studio after work. Has 60+ unfinished 8-bar loops, has watched hours of tutorials, has never released a track. Will pay for anything that gets a song out, not for another plugin.
r/WeAreTheMusicMakers, r/edmproduction, r/FL_Studio, r/ableton, producer Discord servers, YouTube comments under 'how to finish a track' videos, TikTok/Shorts 'loop to finished track' content.
Stop collecting loops. Bounce reads your project and tells you the next step, every night, until the track is done. $12/mo.
