AI CRM for independent sales reps
$29/mo AI CRM for one-person multi-line reps: read every principal's commission statement, flag short-pays, and never miss a follow-up.

Independent sales reps carry a line card, not a quota. A one-person rep sells for five, ten, sometimes twenty non-competing manufacturers, gets paid commission on what ships, and learns what they earned from statements each principal sends in its own format and on its own schedule: a PDF here, an Excel export there, a scanned remittance with the customer name spelled differently. Search "crm for sales" and you get HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive, tools built around one company's pipeline. Search "crm for independent sales reps" and the top results are Reddit threads, which tells you the buyer is still asking peers instead of finding a product. The rep-specific tools that do exist are built for agencies: MRSware bills $35 to $55 per user per month for split-commission reconciliation, and Rep Order Management starts at $275/mo with five seats. The wedge is an AI CRM priced for the solo rep: forward every principal's commission statement to one inbox, let the model extract each line, match it to the orders you booked, and flag short-pays and missing invoices before they age out. Around that sits a light CRM that knows which principal each account and follow-up belongs to. $29/mo, set up in an afternoon.
Why now
Two things changed. First, model-based document extraction can now read an arbitrary commission statement, a PDF remittance, an Excel export or a phone photo of a scan, and return clean lines without a per-principal template. That was the moat of agency software, which relied on imports and manual mapping. Second, the search results show an unclaimed lane: for 'crm for independent sales reps' and 'best crm for independent sales reps', Reddit and Quora threads sit above most vendors, so the category has demand but no default answer. Agency vendors will not drop to a solo price without undercutting their per-seat model, and horizontal CRMs have no reason to model principals and commission splits.
Market gap
Independent sales reps are squeezed between two kinds of software. Horizontal CRMs (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce) model one company's pipeline and have no concept of principals, line cards or commission statements. Rep-specific tools do, but they are built and priced for agencies: MRSware charges $35 to $55 per user per month, Rep Order Management starts at $275/mo with five seats, and field tools like Badger Maps run $58 to $69 per user per month for routing alone. Nobody sells the one-person rep a tool whose first job is making sure every principal paid in full, with a CRM wrapped around it, at a price that pays for itself the first time it catches a short-pay.
Proof signals

"One may send a PDF remittance report. Another may send an Excel export. A third may send a scanned statement" — and the recipient has little leverage to standardize them.

Pricing thesis · subscription
$29/mo sits below agency rep software ($35-$55 per user per month at MRSware, $275/mo base at ROM) and in line with solo CRM plans. One caught short-pay per year covers the subscription; the $79 tier monetizes reps who run sub-reps with splits.
